![]() What should I do to fix or troubleshoot Microsoft security scanner or Malwarebytes anti-rootkit. Microsoft has detected multiple 0-day exploits being used to attack on-premises versions of Microsoft Exchange Server in limited and targeted attacks. Malwarebytes anti-rootkit tool also says that it detected infected files as well although it can’t managed since there’s no backup file. The scanner says that I have no malware although it detected 19+ infected files. This is especially useful with your IIS servers, when security vul- nerabilities are found on nearly a monthly basis. I tried out many AV tools and the best tool that seems the most promising is the Microsoft security scanner. I’m highly confident I have a virus because of the weird symptoms and my questionable download. Switch the Real-time protection setting to Off and choose Yes to verify. If the rogue security software can’t be detected or removed by using Microsoft Safety Scanner or the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool, try the following steps: Note the name of the rogue security software. (In early versions of Windows 10, select Virus & threat protection > Virus & threat protection settings. I noticed many AV programs either don’t detect anything or detect something and say everything is fine. Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security and then Virus & threat protection > Manage settings. I did format and reinstall my OS via a usb stick just to let you know. I recently got infected with a nasty piece of malware 2 months ago and I believe it’s a firmware virus although I’m starting to think it’s a boot sector virus since they’re quite rare. ![]() Keep in mind that I know someone has already answered this question in another forum but not satisfied with the answer.
